There are over 101 off-course betting branches in Hong Kong, each of which is equipped with service counters, Self-vending Terminal (SVT), and Multi-purpose Terminal (MPT) for accepting bets. City Security Company Limited (CSL) will provide security services for 50 of these off-course betting branches from August 1, 2021. CSL will also make appropriate staffing arrangements in advance to ensure a quality environment and orderly operation, and to protect the safety of all customers and staff in the branches. Dr. Ng Tor Tai International House opened its doors today (4 Dec) 20 years ago. Staff and students celebrated its 20th Anniversary on 4th December at the Baptist University Road Campus Entrance Plaza. Mrs Ng Chu Lien-fan delivered a keynote speech fondly recalling the many philanthropic acts of her late husband Dr Ng Tor-tai. During the training, they have had a good attitude and brilliant performance, and finally passed all the evaluation. The Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo has been a popular outdoor expo in Hong Kong since 1938. The 50th Hong Kong Brands & Products Expo was held from 12 December 2015 to 4 January 2016 at the Victoria Park, Causeway Bay.

HKSAR Chief Executive Hon. C Y Leung opened the event in Victoria Park in this year. Furthermore, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR Mr. Zhang Xiaoming was escorted by our highly-trained security personnel to one of the exhibition booths. Featuring famous brands and quality products from Hong Kong and overseas, local citizens and tourists enjoy great fun at the fair in the festive season.

For six consecutive years, City Security has been appointed as the official event security services provider for the Expo. On November 28, 2015, the City Services Group’s (“CSG”) volunteers visited a day care centre of The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society for elderly with impaired mobility in Tai Po district. Our volunteers deliver their care and warmth to the elderly living in the Care Centre, helping to spread the message of love and concern within the community.

During the visit, over 50 elderly residents in the centre enjoyed playing games and chatting with the CSG volunteers. The visit not only brought happiness to the elderly, but also helped the CSG volunteers develop their own communication skills. Meanwhile, the elderly residents were delighted to chat with the volunteers and share their life stories, the CSG volunteers found the visit very interesting and meaningful. They learnt more about the lives of the elderly residents and also the importance of showing care of love to the elderly.

With effective from 1 November, City Security starts providing comprehensive security services to Hong Kong Cable TV.

Organized by the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association, the 4th Hong Kong Food Carnival is being held between 31 October and 8 November 2015 at the Kwai Chung Sports Ground. The Carnival showcased a wide spectrum of food and drink brands and products in more than 270 booths. The Carnival provided food and beverage exhibitors a platform to promote their products and brands. Visitors enjoyed great discounts on purchasing food products.

City Security has been the official security service provider since the 3rd Food Carnival. Our security officers underwent comprehensive safety and emergency training that meets all regulatory requirements. During the opening ceremony of Carnival. Mr. Gregory So Kam Leung, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development and Dr. Ko Wing-man, Secretary for Food and Health of Hong Kong were escorted by our VIP Protection Team. Our well-trained security personnel ensured the flow of people going into and out of the carnival was smooth, organized and safe. Luxurious boutique store ISA celebrated its 40th anniversary on 15 November at the Hankou Centre flagship store in Tsim Sha Tsui. Famous celebrities Michelle Yim, Charmaine Sheh, Alex Fong and well-known musician Mark Lui were invited to attend the ceremony.

The debut of “MEMORIGIN x Mark Lui The Time Machine Tourbillon” timepiece featured by the famous Hong Kong watch brand MEMORIGIN was also made on that day. The Tourbillion watches were exclusively sold at ISA boutiques.

Japan’s multi-label store Collect Point opened its first flagship store at the prestigious shopping mall – Mira Mall in Tsim Sha Tsui. This flagship store is a stretch of pure shopping bliss that spreads over an area of 10,000 square feet. Collect Point carries Japanese causal wear labels such as LOWRYS FARM, Heather, JEANSIS, HARE, GLOBAL WORK, etc.

With effect from October 2014, City Security undertook the retail security services for Collect Point. City Security is an established retail security specialist with a dedicated retail division working in partnership with some of the biggest retail names. We developed a series of prevention measures that reduce potential losses and threats.

The 2014 HKSAR Charity Football Invitation Tournament, organized by the Hong Kong Metropolitan Sports Events Association Limited, is a Hong Kong-wide tournament. The Chief Executive Cup Finals took place at the Mong Kok Stadium on 26 Oct 2014. Each invited team was paired up with a beneficiary non-governmental organization as partner. YATA department store offers a one-stop shopping experience to customers by procuring high quality products and famous brands from Japan. The business keeps expanding and YATA opened its seventh store at APM, Kwun Tong in September 2014.

City Security is pleased to undertake the store security services with effect from September 2014. One of our main objectives is to protect the safety and well-being of both customers and employees in the retail establishment and to prevent financial damage caused by shoplifting, robbery or similar dangers. The “Special Duty Unit” Training Programme was first launched by the Employees Retraining Board in 2013. The Programme aims at recruiting teenagers aged between 18 years old to 24 years old to join the workforce of high-end property management and security fields. Among the 78 selected candidates last year, 76 of them were directly employed by security and property management companies upon completion of the course, reaching the successful rate of 97%.

Due to overwhelming response received last year, the Employees Retraining Board launched the programme again this year. City Security participated in this project for the first time and is in a positive manner of recruiting more talented calibres to join the industry.

The Birthday of Confucius falls on the twenty-seventh day of the eighth lunar month. Each year, the Hong Kong Confucian Academy hosts the Confucius Birthday Ceremony, inviting renowned scholars from around the world to participate in the celebration of the birth of Confucius. The ceremony was held on 20 Sep 2014 this year at the Victoria Park, Causeway Bay.

City Security was appointed as the official security services provider for this event, responsible for the safety of the officiating guests and crowd control. Our security team met with the representatives of the Hong Kong Confucian Academy to understand the nature and scope of the event. We then tailored an event security response based on the client’s need and the realm of circumstances surrounding the event.

City Security is honored to provide professional security and monitoring services to DBS’s Security Commaned Centre effective May 2014. All security personnel stationing at the Control Centre are rigorously chosen and have undergone a series of professional trainings to ensure their skills and service quality are up to client’s standard.

Through the advanced remote monitoring and management system, our security professionals assisted in monitoring multiple workstations and various branches simultaneously. From Nov 2013 to Jan 2014, the On Stage exhibitions were held at the Hysan Place Ground floor, 1/F and Hysan Place Office Lobby at 9/F. Tribute was paid to remarkable Hong Kong fashion designers. The Kai Chiu Road entrance showcased handcrafted Cheongsams where the Office Lobby displayed a series of fascinating antique and modern furniture.

Security personnel were deployed to station at various posts to ensure client’s properties were secured from all kinds of suspicious activities including vandalism and theft.

Situated on 32-40 Wellington Street, Central, the 11-storey building was rebuilt in 1978. Yung Kee Building houses the present restaurant as well as the KEE Club and Yung Club on the 6th and 8th floor. Yung Kee Restaurant has been famous for decades and this Michelin Guide Award-winner has been recommended by renowned food critics in Hong Kong.

The 48th The Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo will be held at Victoria Park from 14 December 2013 to 6 January 2014. The exhibition covers an area of 28,000 square meters, with more than 400 exhibitors that operate 880 booths. Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong (CMA) estimated the attendance figures would be 260 million.

CITY has been four consecutive years to provide the security and ticketing service to CMA. We have arranged experience management to provide onsite supervisory service and deal with contingency matters. In response to the activity characteristic, City has enhanced the customer service training toward frontline staff. We would also arrange VIP protection team members to protect senior government officials and guests. We aimed to create a safe and comfortable shopping environment to the visitors.

Thousands of customers were attracted to shop at YATA department store during the bi-annual crazy sale since products were offered at a very competitive price with limited stock. The stores that participated in this 5-day promotion were Shatin Store, Tai Po Store, Tsuen Wan store and San Po Kong store.

The Carnival showcased a wide spectrum of food and drink brands and products in more than 280 booths. The Carnival provided food and beverage exhibitors a platform to promote their products and brands. Visitors enjoyed great discounts on purchasing food products.

Kai Tak cruise terminal will be one of the largest cruise terminals in the world and it has commenced on 1 June 2013. The large scale of this infrastructure has high capacity to berth the largest vessels. During the period from 29 October 2007 to 10 November 2007, Consulate General of the Netherlands Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality Department held the Holland Village Event at Chater Garden in Central. It was held on 7-9 June 2006 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre for its 9th edition. The 2006 show delivers a showcase of the latest security, safety and fire protection products and technologies, including access control systems, alarm systems, biometrics, CCTV & surveillance systems, smartcard technology, communication & information technology, fire alarm equipment and locks & safes.

During the activity, apart from exchanging ideas and information with our colleagues, CITY also exhibited its innovative construction site access control system, as well as introducing various security services to our clients.

The Kowloon West Best Security Services Awards Ceremony was held on the 13th April 2006. This event was organized by the Kowloon West Crime Prevention Office, the Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority as well as the Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies Ltd.

One of our security officers named Yu Po Wah posted at the Sino Centre was selected as the Best Security Guard. This reward was a boost of spirit in CITY, and further motivated CITY to provide our superior security services for client.

In April 2006, the European-Style mansion Noble Hill started its sales event. CITY was responsible to offer more than 50 security guards and customer ambassador every day, so that all visitors may relaxingly choose their beloved apartments.

CITY has been providing security service to Seiyu Department Store in New Town Plaza since December 2005. Seiyu Department Store is known for its enormous scale and size, therefore CITY strengthened the human resource allocation in the store in order to provide a better and more effective security service. Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd held the International Commerce Center (ICC) ground-breaking ceremony on the 9th November 2005. ICC is regarded as the focal point of Kowloon Station Development Packages 5, 6 & 7. It will be the tallest building in Hong Kong and third worldwide. CITY was honored to participate in this historic ceremony and offer security services.

During the day, HKSAR Chief Executive Donald Tsang, Director Gao Siren and Deputy Director Li Guikang of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the HKSAR Yang Wenchang and the MTR Corporation's Chief Executive Officer C K Chow and Property Director Thomas Ho were welcomed at the ceremony by Chairman & Chief Executive Walter Kwok and Vice Chairmen & Managing Directors Thomas Kwok and Raymond Kwok of Sun Hung Kai Properties.

Facing more than a hundred government officials and executives, we had to ensure the all-round arrangement in both security and program rundown. Owing to our past experience and seamless cooperation with the management company, the ceremony was held successfully and smoothly.

Starting from October 2005, CITY has been responsible for the security service at Mongkok Sino Center, the security environment in the Center was greatly improved. City is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a three-year security service contract from the MTRC for the provision of security service at Kornhill – a sizable estate comprises of 16 twin-towers, totally 6,648 flats, estate club house and a carpark with 1,168 spaces, total number of security personnel engaged in this project is in the quantity of 100.

As the first sizable estate that we work with MTRC, Kornhill will be identified as our model site. From 24 June, 2005 to 31 July, 2005, an Exhibition “Chinese Dinosaur Fossils” launched by Swire Properties Limited is exhibited at Cityplaza – a first public area in Hong Kong to exhibit dinosaur fossils. All of the fossils are sourced from mainland china and have not been featured in Hong Kong.

Since the opening of the exhibition, the mall has attracted approximately one hundred of eighty thousand of guests per day in average during the exhibition period. City is pleased to engage in this sizable event for the provision of security service to facilitate visitor flow and maintain the exhibition area in order during the exhibition period.

In view of the value of these national treasures, especial the fossil of Psittacosaurus sinensis dinosaur (also named “Chinese Parrot Lizard”) which is displayed in the exhibition. Since this Fossil is less than six sets in the world, one of them was just being stolen from Newcastle Regional Museum of Australia on the middle of July this year. We have not only dispatched competence guards for this project but also assigned our senior operations teammate to look after this project and keep a close connection with client on daily basis for fast response to tackle any ad hoc amendments on the current security measure as well as implementation of contingency plan in case of special circumstance. On 2 April 2005, Sapphire Princess, with total weight and full load displacement over 110,000 tons as well as one of the largest ships in the world, historically first visits Hong Kong and anchors close to the Modern Terminals. In view of this, the International Convention for Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) has established an International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS code) with enhanced new rules and requirements which is effective on 1 September 2004, all contracting parties to SOLAS are needed to comply with ISPS code which is aimed at providing protection at several security level, port security officer (PSO) needs to develop contingency plan, conduct regular port security drill as well as designate restricted area for in/out access control and inspection. Ship who does not comply with ISPS code requirements will be refused to entry into the port.

This photo was taken for the outdoor security event of April 2004, the service is, delivered by our security force, to provide road traffic control and orders monitoring, thanks for their courage, loyalty and skill to accomplish the task smoothly under a tough environment. Our Gurkha Guard Service is formed by the Ex-Gurkhas from British Army and Disciplinary Forces, leveraging their solid and hand on experiences on providing security services, we are pleased to ensure that our clients can be working and living in a safe and comfort environment.

New, sharp and elegant uniform for our customer service ambassador was first shown in “Residence Bel-Air” apartment selling event. Apart from offering security services, a group of energetic and beautiful young ladies was recruited for providing customer services. Senior management of the developer for Residence Bel-Air - PCCW was happy with the arrangement, not only attributed to the colour of the uniform has a perfect match with the core colour tone of the event, but also attributed to our service commitment.

Park Island, the largest estate located in Ma Wan, keeps holding different kinds of function for her residents. These functions let not only the residents enjoy their holiday, but also attract a lot of consumer and visitors. Like last week, the developer has held a carnival to celebrate the opening of their Green Green Club. We are responsible for the security jobs that everything was under our control and everyone over there enjoyed the fair on that day.

To celebrate the newly awarded contract with MTL, we held a joss party in December 2003 and with great privilege to have Mr. Alan Wong, Jason Tsang and KM Ho as our guest to share our happiness. Actually, our services keep satisfying MTL’s requirement and our wonderful relationship enable us to enhance service to grow with their development. With our proficient quality, we believe another joss party will be coming very soon.
