It was held on 7-9 June 2006 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre for its 9th edition. The 2006 show delivers a showcase of the latest security, safety and fire protection products and technologies, including access control systems, alarm systems, biometrics, CCTV & surveillance systems, smartcard technology, communication & information technology, fire alarm equipment and locks & safes.

During the activity, apart from exchanging ideas and information with our colleagues, CITY also exhibited its innovative construction site access control system, as well as introducing various security services to our clients.

The Kowloon West Best Security Services Awards Ceremony was held on the 13th April 2006. This event was organized by the Kowloon West Crime Prevention Office, the Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority as well as the Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies Ltd.

One of our security officers named Yu Po Wah posted at the Sino Centre was selected as the Best Security Guard. This reward was a boost of spirit in CITY, and further motivated CITY to provide our superior security services for client.

Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd held the International Commerce Center (ICC) ground-breaking ceremony on the 9th November 2005. ICC is regarded as the focal point of Kowloon Station Development Packages 5, 6 & 7. It will be the tallest building in Hong Kong and third worldwide. CITY was honored to participate in this historic ceremony and offer security services.

During the day, HKSAR Chief Executive Donald Tsang, Director Gao Siren and Deputy Director Li Guikang of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the HKSAR Yang Wenchang and the MTR Corporation's Chief Executive Officer C K Chow and Property Director Thomas Ho were welcomed at the ceremony by Chairman & Chief Executive Walter Kwok and Vice Chairmen & Managing Directors Thomas Kwok and Raymond Kwok of Sun Hung Kai Properties.

Facing more than a hundred government officials and executives, we had to ensure the all-round arrangement in both security and program rundown. Owing to our past experience and seamless cooperation with the management company, the ceremony was held successfully and smoothly.

City is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a three-year security service contract from the MTRC for the provision of security service at Kornhill – a sizable estate comprises of 16 twin-towers, totally 6,648 flats, estate club house and a carpark with 1,168 spaces, total number of security personnel engaged in this project is in the quantity of 100.

As the first sizable estate that we work with MTRC, Kornhill will be identified as our model site. From 24 June, 2005 to 31 July, 2005, an Exhibition “Chinese Dinosaur Fossils” launched by Swire Properties Limited is exhibited at Cityplaza – a first public area in Hong Kong to exhibit dinosaur fossils. All of the fossils are sourced from mainland china and have not been featured in Hong Kong.

Since the opening of the exhibition, the mall has attracted approximately one hundred of eighty thousand of guests per day in average during the exhibition period. In view of the value of these national treasures, especial the fossil of Psittacosaurus sinensis dinosaur (also named “Chinese Parrot Lizard”) which is displayed in the exhibition. Since this Fossil is less than six sets in the world, one of them was just being stolen from Newcastle Regional Museum of Australia on the middle of July this year. After several rounds of voting from our panel of judges based on Security Knowledge, Handling-skill, Working Attitude, Appearance and Manner of the security personnel as well as client’s recommendations. Three classified staff were awarded the Outstanding Performance Award: Lee Kam Shing - Chief Operations Officer, Ho Chiu Chun – Senior Security Officer, Ng Ka Chun – Security Supervisor.

After the disaster of 9/11 - people who lost their lives and tremendous property damage. An expensive lesson learned by governments is that they are not safe on their own soil. Security is needed to increase to prevent another disaster, which is particular importance on Industry of transportation via freight and vassal.

In view of this, the International Convention for Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) has established an International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS code) with enhanced new rules and requirements which is effective on 1 September 2004, all contracting parties to SOLAS are needed to comply with ISPS code which is aimed at providing protection at several security level, port security officer (PSO) needs to develop contingency plan, conduct regular port security drill as well as designate restricted area for in/out access control and inspection. Ship who does not comply with ISPS code requirements will be refused to entry into the port.

Hong Kong as a major international maritime centre in the world must implement this code strictly, it is a great challenge for those security companies providing port security services, sophisticated security personnel and special equipment is a complement to carry out the duty. [City Security] has already had sufficient preparation for this challenge and is the first security company who deploys the ISPS duty in full set of equipment, those are made in US in accordance with the standard. In view of this, we arrange more than 100 security personnel including Customer Service Ambassador under our management to provide superior quality of crowd control and customer services to ensure that all our guests can select their best choice in a safe and relaxing environment.

At the 1st quarter of each year, we will provide refresher training for staff who has joined our company over half year. The primary objective is to enrich and enhance their security knowledge. Thanks to the attempt paid on the service quality assurance, City Security Co. Ltd. has established a Quality Management System conforming to the International Standard ISO 9001:2000 System requirement and successfully been awarded a Certificate on 22 April 2004. All of us are extremely in high spirits as the certificate is not only for the system but also our effort paid on the service. Our Gurkha Guard Service is formed by the Ex-Gurkhas from British Army and Disciplinary Forces, leveraging their solid and hand on experiences on providing security services, we are pleased to ensure that our clients can be working and living in a safe and comfort environment.

New, sharp and elegant uniform for our customer service ambassador was first shown in “Residence Bel-Air” apartment selling event. Apart from offering security services, a group of energetic and beautiful young ladies was recruited for providing customer services. Senior management of the developer for Residence Bel-Air - PCCW was happy with the arrangement, not only attributed to the colour of the uniform has a perfect match with the core colour tone of the event, but also attributed to our service commitment.

Park Island, the largest estate located in Ma Wan, keeps holding different kinds of function for her residents. These functions let not only the residents enjoy their holiday, but also attract a lot of consumer and visitors. Like last week, the developer has held a carnival to celebrate the opening of their Green Green Club. We are responsible for the security jobs that everything was under our control and everyone over there enjoyed the fair on that day.

To celebrate the newly awarded contract with MTL, we held a joss party in December 2003 and with great privilege to have Mr. Alan Wong, Jason Tsang and KM Ho as our guest to share our happiness.
